Event Identity
Client eventIds deduplicated exactly — fingerprints flag duplicates for audit.
Retidal resolves every event to a deterministic identity: client-supplied eventIds are deduplicated exactly; server-generated fingerprints are SHA-256 hashes of normalised payload content that mark duplicate submissions for the same event — no cross-device session stitching, no probabilistic guessing.
Core Capabilities
Client eventId Deduplication
Client-provided eventIds are normalised and deduplicated exactly — the same eventId is never counted twice regardless of how many times it is retried.
Server Fingerprint Fallback
When no eventId is supplied, a SHA-256 fingerprint of projectId, eventName, visitorId, sessionId, clientTimestamp, and properties marks duplicate submissions. Same normalised payload → same fingerprint.
Full Identity Propagation
The resolved eventId travels to Analytics Engine, conversion queues, and value aggregation — every downstream system shares the same event identity.
